What you can do with it

The app is provided free of charge for personal use. You may install it on as many computers as you like and give a copy to anyone. You may not sell it, or present it as your own work.

It comes with no warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. It may contain faults. It may stop working after a macOS update. Nothing here promises it will suit your purpose or run without interruption.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tom Baker is not liable for any claim, damages, data loss, or other liability arising from the app or its use.

Back up your music

The app can write song details into your music files, and edits like that cannot be undone from inside the app. Please keep backups of any music you would be upset to lose. This is good practice with any software that changes your files, and it's genuinely the most important line on this page.

Your music is your responsibility

The app plays files that are already on your computer. It provides no music and no way to obtain music. Making sure you have the right to hold and play your files is up to you.

Song details from MusicBrainz

When you ask the app to look up a song, results come from MusicBrainz, a community-run database, and are supplied under their terms. Their data is contributed by volunteers and can be incomplete or wrong. Matching is done on the title and artist text in your file, so it can occasionally return a different recording than the one you have — which is why nothing is written to your files until you choose it.

Updates

The app checks this site for a newer version and can tell you when one exists. It never installs anything on its own; downloading and installing an update is always your decision. Old versions may stop working with future versions of macOS, and there's no promise that updates will continue to be made.
